ProCrea offers, among the various therapies for assisted fertilization, full support in the egg donation process. This fertilization technique is based on the donation of oocytes by a foreign person (female donor) and is the most effective treatment in the field of assisted reproduction. The success rate for each attempt is close to 60%. In the case of multiple attempts, the accumulated pregnancy rate reaches 78% (on a maximum of four cycles).

INDICATIONS FOR EGG DONATION THERAPY

Depletion of the ovarian function
Early physiological menopause
Surgical menopause (removal of the ovaries)
Genetic diseases transmittable to offspring
Repeated failures with other assisted fertilization techniques
Repeated failures of embryo implantation
Endometriosis

IN DETAIL

1 FERTILIZATION
The donated oocytes are fertilized by means of IVF-ET ICSI (in each ovum an appropriately selected spermatozoon of the partner or donor is injected) and the obtained blastocysts will be cryopreserved to carry out the embryo transfer at the ideal time for the receiving patient.

2 ACTIVATION OF THE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM
Endometrial preparation for the receiving patient to transfer the embryos.

3 TRASFER OF THE EMBRYOS
Transfer of the embryos into the receiver’s uterus that does not require anaesthesia or hospitalization. The number of embryos to be transferred will be decided by the doctors in agreement with the couple.

HOW
The egg donation program is based on a continuous flow of oocyte donors, subjected to all the necessary tests to avoid malformations and sexually transmitted diseases. Before the embryos will be transferred to the patient's uterine cavity, the mucosa is prepared with a hormonal treatment. At the first interview it is possible to carry out a semen collection which will be cryopreserved and subsequently used for the oocyte fertilization.

COSTS
The costs for a donation cycle are 9.500 euros and are including: search and selection of the female and male donor in case of oocyte and semen donation, fertilization of the oocytes with the partner’s semen, supplement of 500 euros for a male donor, transfer of no. 1 embryo (recommended), screening and drugs for the female donor.
