Reproduction, pregnancy and age
The experience acquired in the cryopreservation technique (slow freezing or vitrification) and the high rate of survival of thawed fertilised eggs (between 80% and 90%, depending on the technique) offers couples the chance to perform more than one embryo transfer without having to undergo another egg retrieval cycle.
To sum up, a couple that comes to our centre, with just one egg retrieval cycle, has a high probability of achieving pregnancy, even several years later, stopping the biological clock at the moment for completing the retrieval.
